Liquitex Matte Gel Medium can be mixed with Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Colour to obtain paint similar in colour depth to oil paint. It can also be used as a ground for acrylic paint.

If used as a ground it offers excellent tooth and adhesion, allowing some colour and texture of the support to show through.

Liquitex Matte Gel Medium dries to a translucent satin matte finish. It extends the volume of acrylic paints and increases translucency whilst maintaining or increasing paint viscosity. It is available in 237ml pots.
